Associate Professional Clinical Counselor
Catherine has a warm and down to earth approach to therapy. She mainly uses cognitive behavioral therapy as her theoretical approach, but also has used solution-focused, narrative, client-centered, and some gestalt techniques. Catherine has worked with trauma on both the offender and the victim side at her past internship sites. She has run psychoeducation groups on substance abuse, anger management, and general coping skills.
Catherine created and implemented a process anxiety group, where group members were able to learn about how to deal with their anxiety in a supportive environment.
Catherine Boyle graduated with a Bachelor’s in Counseling Psychology and Religious Studies from Morningside College. She recently graduated with her Master’s in Clinical Counseling from Alliant International University. She currently has her associate’s registration, Associate Professional Clinical Counselor #6537 and is working towards becoming licensed as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. Catherine aspires to work with military personal after licensure to help with issues such as PTSD, Substance Abuse, Depression, Anxiety, Anger Management, etc.
