Vincent’s down-to-earth, friendly and easygoing personality puts clients at ease. He helps the client find the words to express the anxiety and the sadness. Working with Vincent, you will quickly feel at home. Warm, authentic, yet professional, Vincent’s balance of clinical skills and non-judgmental, friendly approach helps you work past the anxiety to express your feelings.

Vincent works primarily with a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach. For substance abuse issues, he includes the 12 steps and helps the client confront their addiction.

Vincent attended the University of California, Davis where he studied Agricultural Managerial Business, then went on to obtain his Bachelors of Art degree in Human Development and his Masters of Art degree in Marital and Family Therapy at Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, CA.

Vincent’s experience has included working as a Youth Counselor for the California Youth Authority, a Social Worker, and currently practices as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Addictions Specialist. He has a broad range of skills and years of experience providing mental health treatment, case management, supervision, and crisis management services in community service organizations such as Fresno County EOC, Family Services, and working in schools with troubled youth.

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Katrina Blair has a warm, accepting approach to therapy. As a bi-racial therapist she understands cultural differences. She does her best to provide a safe and supportive place to share your stress and anxiety. If you are new to therapy, she quickly sets you at ease and provides answers to any questions you may have about what to expect. Katrina helps her clients untangle feelings and issues that feel overwhelming, and find clarity and understanding.

Katrina is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has a long track record of excellence, compassion, and commitment to providing quality mental health services to all her clients. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work at the California State University, Fresno. She later went on to get her Master of Science degree in Counseling at California State University, Fresno.

Since 2004, Katrina has worked in many settings, treating children, adolescents, families, individuals, couples, and providing group therapy. She has a special interest in working with clients with anxiety and depression. Katrina has worked with Fresno area agencies such as EMQ Families First, Marjaree Mason, Kaiser Permanente, and Fresno County Department of Behavioral Health in a variety of programs providing case management, psychotherapy, and crisis management services. She brings her experience with many cultures and age groups to Alpha Behavioral Counseling.

Catherine Pou, PSY.D.

Licensed Psychologist

Catherine earned her doctorate through Alliant International University in Los Angeles, CA, and her Bachelor’s degree through the University of Miami in Miami, FL. She has been conducting assessments and indivudual and group therapy since 2003. Her approach to therapy is to create a safe space where it is possible to examine patterns of behavior and develop a realistic, life-changin plan. She enjoys finding a balance between the science behind effective mental health care and teh art of tailoring current research to each client. Her practice has included a wide variety of mental health issues, from serious mental illness, head injuries, relationship issues, and learning disorders; and a wide variety of clients, people of all ages, varied races, from all walks of life. Her experience includes psychological testing, individual and group therapy, crisis intervention and education.

Melissa Masri, MFTI

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Melissa has Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy, with a specialty in Court Mediation from California Lutheran University. Her undergraduate degree is a Bachelors of Art in Child Development with a specialty in Youth and Family Services from San Francisco State University. Additionally, Melissa is a qualified Master Teacher in Early Childhood Education. For the last year she has provided mental health services to children, adolescents, individuals, families, and couples at the Community Counseling Center in Thousand Oaks.

Before Melissa entered the field of mental health, she taught as an Early Childhood Educator for eight years. During that time she also worked with immigration reform, the San Francisco food bank, educational services for those in the juvenile justice system, and youth oriented ecumenical organizations. It was this work that lead her to see how necessary and important mental health care is to ones overall functioning.

Melissa takes a Humanistic approach to therapy and believes wholeheartedly that in order for therapy to be effective the client – therapist relationship must be built on trust and understanding. Her view is that therapy should be conducted in a warm and empathetic environment, where the therapist is genuine and values their client. Melissa strives to offer therapy that takes into account the whole person and that is based on strengths.

Christine Cogan-Mesa, LMFT

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Christine Cogan-Mesa is a Clinical Supervisor at Alpha Behavioral Center.  She considers it a privilege to supervise Marriage and Family Therapy Interns and enjoys being a part of their journey toward state licensure.

Christine endorses a holistic and collaborative approach to the therapeutic process and utilizes Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Since 1999, she has provided counseling to individuals, couples and groups in a variety of treatment settings.

Christine is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC-II).  She also has specialized training in EMDR trauma processing, treating Co-Occurring Disorders, and Mindfulness.

Teri Collet, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Teri received her Masters of Social Work degree in 1987 from San Jose State University.  She obtained the ACSW certification as a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers and her California LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) in 1991. She received her certification as a Hospice and Palliative Care Social Worker (ACHP-SW) in 2009.

Teri developed a mental health program at a rural health clinic and provided therapy to couples, adults and children.

In addition to mental health experience, Teri She has extensive experience in medical social work including acute, chronic and terminal illness with almost 20 years in hospice.

She is also an Adjunct Professor in the graduate Department of Social Work at California State University, Stanislaus and the Department of Social Work Education at California State University, Fresno.

Teri is a published author writing materials for hospice patients and caregivers as well as articles in Newsline, a publication of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. She has written a patient supportive/educational booklet “Making the Most of Every Moment: A Patient’s Guide to Living With Hospice” published by Limbertwig Press and is a national speaker on topics including end of life and grief.
